About me

I am the Lead Oceanographer for Ephemeral Carbon Inc., using ocean alkalinity enhancement via coastal enhanced weathering to sequester CO2 from the atmosphere as well as combating ocean acidification. I also have interests in determining the status of the CO2-carbonate system, surface ocean biological pump/marine productivity, anthropogenic CO2 uptake, and terrestrial and ocean margin carbon export fluxes in the coastal ocean.

Experience

Scientist with 15+ years’ experience in oceanographic and climate science research. Published author & coauthor; presenting results in U.S.A., France, China, and Singapore. Excellent writing and communication skills; fluent in English and Chinese. Capable of using new and existing data in novel research to investigate broad range of topics while controlling data quality and documenting progress. Technical proficiency using Python, R, MATLAB, SQL, Surfer, Ocean Data View, IBM Watson Studio, and Microsoft Office.
